Tips To Keep Your Alcohol-Friendly Party Safe

Planning a party for your family and friends is a big responsibility. This is especially true if you plan to serve alcohol to liven things up a bit. Anytime alcohol is involved, there are a few additional steps to take in planning. Here, you'll learn a few tips that can help to make your party planning a little easier and keep your guests safe for the night.

Spirit Delivery

It's so easy to get the booze for the party – you won't even have to leave your house and carry all of those heavy boxes to your car and then to your home. You can quickly go online, select what you want and have it delivered directly to your front door.

Have a Bartender

Now, you don't need to have a fancy bartender that flips the bottles and does fun tricks, but you do need to have someone watching over how much everyone is having to drink and who is doing the drinking.

Your bartender will be able to pace heavier drinkers, stop them when they've had enough and keep kids from getting the drinks that they shouldn't have. All of these things will help to keep the party safe for everyone.

Plan for Food

Never serve alcohol without some kind of food. Those who drink on an empty stomach are more likely to get too drunk and could even suffer from alcohol poisoning. Plan to leave a buffet table of food and snacks out for the duration of the party.

Think about what kind of food you're serving. You know why bars give away free nuts? Because it keeps their customers drinking – they get too thirsty from the nuts that they have to take a sip every few nuts. Serve pasta, bread, and maybe even pizza. These are the types of food that will help to absorb some of the alcohol and keep your guests from getting too drunk too quickly.

Plan for Overnight Guests

You'll probably have at least a few guests that just can't leave for their own safety, as well as the other drivers on the road. You don't need extra guest beds at this point – some sleeping bags, pillows and maybe a few buckets just in case.

Think safety. Find out of there are Uber drivers in your area so that you have that information for anyone that wants to leave and cannot safely do so. Your party can be a success if you take the time to plan for everything that could happen. For more information, contact your local spirits delivery service.
